History of the Company

GIN Investment Limited was incorporated on May 13, 2004, as a provider of waste management services in Tanzania. The company segments including providing street cleaning service, Municipal solid waste collection, transferring to designated collection points and transportation to the final disposal sites.

The company has been operating successfully in Tanzania since 2004 with the objective of providing the market with a comprehensive approach to manage Municipal and industrial waste that aimed to offer a more sustainable solutions and viable alternatives to the waste management.

The company was founded upon the vision of empowering women, youth and special needy groups to tap the existing opportunities in waste management services.

Ms. Ntuli Damson Mwakamala, Founder of GIN Investment Limited saw waste management challenges and problems in Tanzania Strategic Cities can be turned as the potential opportunity for marginalized women, youth and other special groups to gain employment benefits towards fighting poverty which is very rampant in most Tanzania urban settings.

Ms. Ntuli Damson Mwakamala is an Accountant by professional with the Master's Degree in Corporate Management from Mzumbe University. She worked at the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) from 1998 to 2004.

In the year 2004, she developed an interest to own her private company dealing with office supplies and provision of Municipal Solid Waste Management services. The company started to provide solid waste management services at Tabata Segerea ward which is located in the outskirt of Dar es Salaam City with an initial capital of Tanzania Shilling 3,000,000/ = equivalent to the United States Dollar $ 1,305.
